Verify that you will have 120 credits & core (general education courses) completed in time for graduation, and that you'll meet the residency requirement (30 of your most recent 45 credits must be from USM).

It’s important to complete these in advance. You may need titers, bloodwork, booster shots, or immunizations, which can take time.

You will be surveyed about lab placement options in the same survey as the 331 clinical.
Lab placement will be determined at the same time as clinical placement to avoid conflicts.
NUR 330 - Mental Health Nursing Lecture (3 credits)
NUR 331 - Mental Health Nursing Clinical (2 credits, 7 weeks meeting every other week)

You will receive a survey in mid to late October, where you can share your preferences for lab and clinical placements.
Clinical Information
Mental Health Clinical: You will receive a survey to rank your preferences for clinical placements. We typically send the survey in mid or late October. While we will try to accommodate your preferences, placements cannot be guaranteed. The clinical is a 7-week course meeting one day a week, every other week, typically for 8 hours. You will receive your placement details in late November or early December.

NUR 325 - Adult Health I Clinical (4 credits)
14-week clinical, meeting once a week for 8 hours (typically 3 PM–11 PM or 7 AM–3 PM but there are variations on this).
Register for a placeholder section (no assigned day/time).
You will receive a survey about day/time preferences.
Choose ONE of the Following Paths: Seats may fill up in your preferred plan. If courses are full when you register, you will need to take them in the following semester. Ex. if you wanted child but all sections are full when you go to register you'll need to take repro instead.
Option A:

Apply to Graduate
Ensure you apply to graduate by the specified deadline using this link. Failure to apply on time will result in not graduating.
ATI NCLEX Mandatory Review -
Plan for the mandatory 3-day in-person ATI NCLEX Review. TENTATIVE dates are May 4th, 5th, and 6th. Lindsay Larsen will let you know when dates are confirmed.
This review is required for all students and is essential for your NCLEX exam readiness.
Pinning & Graduation Ceremony
The Pinning & Graduation Ceremony will take place at the end of the Spring semester. You will be updated with the date and location as soon as it is established. Brandon Blount organizes the ceremony and will send you emails with info about it.

NUR 341 - Service Learning, Leadership, and Advocacy (2 credits) IF NOT ALREADY TAKEN
If you have already completed 341 in a prior semester you do not need to take it in the spring. It was forerly called Nursing Community Partnership.
This is a community clinical course. You'll register for the placeholder section in Mainestreet and be surveyed about placement options.
Meets on Thursdays from 8-12 for the entire semester.
NUR 429 - Clinically Applied Pharmacology (3 credits)
NUR 470 - Leadership & Ethics (3 credits)
NUR 480 - Practicum Seminar (3 credits)
This course compliments your practicum clinical experience.
All practicum placement questions should be directed to Stacey Whitney
NUR 489 - Special Topics in Nursing: Role Transition (1 credit)
NUR 490 - Capstone (1 credit)
Meets in person for the first few weeks, then transitions to asynchronous online work for the rest of the semester
Ends with an in-person research poster presentation event
