The Black Box Theatre is a simple, somewhat unadorned performance space built for experimental theatre. Renovated to be a space for classes and performances, it is meant for productions that need limited sets, simple lighting effects, and an intimate focus on the story, writing, and performances rather than technical elements. While seating arrangement in the space is flexible, the maximum capacity is approximately 100 audience seats.
The Black Box is located on the second floor of Class of 1944 Hall, located between the Collins Center for the Arts and the Memorial Union.
