Dr. Kati Corlew, Director

Dr. Laura Kate (Kati) Corlew is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Maine at Augusta. She received her Ph.D. in Community and Cultural Psychology, and a graduate certificate in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.

Nicole Brennan

Nicole Brennan is an undergraduate in her third year at UMA, in the Business Administration Program. She is excited to work on this project, as she plans on going into research, with an emphasis on economics and climate change, in her graduate studies.

Heidi Toner

Heidi Toner is an undergraduate in her third year at UMA, in the Mental Health and Human Services Program. She began working on this project in the Fall of 2020 and hopes to bring her love of people and psychology into her studies with climate change.

Kaitlyn Reynolds

Kaitlyn Reynolds is in a Social Science degree program with a concentration in psychology. Her research project discusses stereotype threat and its impact on academic performance and the implementation of meditation to counteract the negative effect.

Darlene da Silva

Darlene da Silva is an undergraduate finishing her Junior year at UMA as a Social Science Major. She intends to continue on to her Phd in Psychology with an emphasis on research in the area of domestic violence.

Shannon Charette

Shannon Charette, Alumni UMA-B Augusta, currently in her clinical intern at UCP of Maine through Husson University - CMHC. Shannon's past time activities include but not limited to: spending time in nature, reading, meditation and yoga, but above all, spending time with her foster son. Shannon will compete her studies at the end of the year and will continue advocacy/research re: climate change.

Shannon’s work includes the following: advocate & counseling along with the following: at risk & homeless youth, victims of sexual trafficking including domestic violence as well as substance use disorder counseling including medication assisted treatment.
