Creative research into the representation of women and queer folks in the maritime industry depicted in American maritime art through portraiture and genre painting.
2023-4 University of Maine, Orono, ME: Fellow for the Clement and Linda McGillicuddy Humanities Center:
studying the tradition of pisanki passed down matrilineally to Slavic immigrants in North America and the importance of this cultural practice for identity as well as its
symbolism of resistance against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
