本校五年級同學,參加112年學力檢測,平均81分,優於全縣(72分)與全國平均成績(75分)。
在我們這屆僅有九位的五年級學生中(今年為六年級),沒有學習障礙的特殊需求孩子,其中三位有在課後補習英文,其餘六位則僅能在學校的英語課中接觸英文。為了讓每位孩子都能安心準備學力檢測,英語教師除了帶領孩子們複習課堂上學過的單字與句型,也特別加強中外節慶的文化認識,並補充課本尚未涵蓋的重要主題,例如服裝與交通工具等單字。
學力檢測的設計,是為了幫助孩子們認識自己的學習狀況,這在許多國家早已行之有年。既然教育部推動這項制度,英語教師的責任就是協助學生在心理與知識上都做好準備,讓他們在測驗當天能自信應試,而不是感到挫折或失望,進而喪失學習動力。我們相信,只要孩子願意學習,老師就有責任給予相應的陪伴與引導。哪怕整個班只有一個孩子想學,也不能放棄他。我們的努力,正是為了讓每一顆願意學習的心,都能被溫柔接住、穩穩托起。
There are only nine students in our fifth-grade class. Three of them go to English tutoring after school. The other six only learn English during our school lessons. To help everyone get ready for the English test, our English teacher reviews words and sentences we’ve learned, and also teaches fun topics like holidays, clothes, and transportation—even if they’re not in the textbook yet!
The English test is a way for students to see how much they’ve learned. Many countries use tests like this. Since our Ministry of Education wants us to try it, our job is to help kids feel ready and do their best—without feeling sad, nervous, or losing confidence. We believe that if a child wants to learn, a teacher should always be there to guide and support them. Even if only one student wants to learn, we will never give up on them. Every learning heart matters, and we’re here to cheer them on, one step at a time. 💛
