Cultural Events: Every semester, English teachers hold cultural events and lessons to familiarize students with Western holidays and celebrations such as Halloween, Christmas, and Easter.
English Corner: This popular lunch activity brings together students of all ages to explore topics related to cultural understanding, current events, popular culture, and music. English teachers from the Foreign Language Department host and facilitate discussions.
Reader’s Theatre: Students work in small teams to write and bring original scripts to life in school-based and city-sponsored contests. English teachers provide extensive reading, voice and pronunciation coaching to help students integrate drama and story-telling.
English Essay Writing and Storytelling Contest: All students are encouraged to submit English journal articles and essays. The school is currently developing an online platform for students to publish articles and creative writing.
English Storytelling, Debate, and Impromptu & Prepared Speech Contests: Students regularly participate in school and government-sponsored competitions held throughout the year.
English Listening Proficiency Tests: GEPT/ TOEIC/IELTS Preparation
Youth Diplomat Competition & Model United Nations Club: Every year, students participate in both a school-based and National Youth Diplomat competition that empowers student diplomacy and understanding of international affairs. In the Model United Nations Club, students develop a keen awareness of global issues. They participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences with students from across Taiwan, Asia, and North America.
Morning News Reel: Senior high school students investigate and report on current international affairs. Students write their own scripts, and share their insights and commentary with the entire school every Monday morning assembly.
The construction of campus culture slogan highlights with English: campaign slogan, schools welcome sign, offices, classrooms and name of public places are included.
