International Exchange Experience

International Exchange Experience and Bilingual Curriculum

Nei-Li Junior High School is a populous school with up to 81 classes, about 2,300 students and 220 staffs and also one of the Taoyuan City’s Bilingual Highlights Schools. With diverse background of our students and implement of native language policy in Taiwan, we hope to provide students more opportunities to understand their roots, preserve their mother cultures and respect each difference. Also, we would love to help them share the experiences and knowledge they learned from both school and daily lives. Therefore, we do our best to seize every chance which offers all students and teachers to explore multiple perspectives of our country and world. We are looking forward bonding educational relationships, having wonderful exchange activities and learning from more people and schools.

Sister School

Rancho Milpitas Middle School (California, USA)

Rancho Milpitas Middle School is our first sister school in the States since 2017. We have been to Rancho twice for real interaction and to deepen our cross-cultural collaboration. Unfortunately, because of COVID, we are forced to stop the real mutual exchange. Gladly, we make good use of Internet to engage our seven graders being pen pals with friends in Rancho. Every year, we write e-cards online to share school lives, personal favorites, festival celebration, and so on. Click here to see the cards: https://sites.google.com/mail.nljh.tyc.edu.tw/xmas-for-rancho-2021. What’s more, we are still exploring more ways to have further academic collaboration.

2023 International Education Exchange in Japan

This summer in 2023 was definately one of the best and memorable exchange experiences for both teachers and students in NLJH for sure, because we finally had the chance to see our online friend school, Minotsu Junior High School, in real world after COVID pandemic. Thanks to Mitoyo International Exchange Association, we could meet more friend schools in Japan. With the help of the association, we also got the chance to meet a new friend school, Wako Junior High School. Most importantly, this 6-day visit to Japan is an actual act of conducting the international educational meanings, spirits, and relationships of cross-cultural learning through immersion. It meets the purpose for us to advocate international education in school and to encourage students to extend not only their knowledge but also their life experiences to the world.
