PREPARATION:
The organization of a classroom is crucial to a successful classroom because physical environments directly effect how students learn, create a tone of a classroom, and set expectations of participation. In order to create a well organized and managed classroom, I will plan and prepare ahead of time. From materials, to organization, to ways of contact, to substitute teacher plans, and more, there are a variety of things that must be accounted for when planning my classroom. Since the physical organization of a classroom impacts how the teacher can teach and how the students can learn, I will plan my classroom according to both my own, but more importantly, the students' needs. This preperation will allow me to be ready for the first day of school so the students and I can effectively greet each other, have introductions, participate in get to know you activities, explore the classroom, understand expectations and rules, and overall be set up for success for the school year. Since the first day of school is the most important due to a positive atmosphere being set and a perspective of the school year beginning, it is important to have my classroom student ready from day one.
