Math Field Day has been held at Fresno State since 1976. It is the Mathematics Department's largest outreach event of the year. Participants in grades 6-12 from all over the Central Valley and beyond come to Fresno State each year to compete, play math-themed games, and more. The event provides a unique and fun learning opportunity for students. Recognition of their participation also serves to encourage them to continue in their mathematical endeavors. Each participant receives a certificate acknowledging their participation, and awards are given to the highest finishers in the contests.
Math teachers/advisers from each school may register their participants
Event is intended for grades 6-12, but all K-12 students are welcome
Homeschool students may participate, with parent/guardian or other adult mentor serving as adviser
Registration fee is $3 per participant, payable via cash or check at Math Field Day
