Attend Class, and Take Notes.
Actually do the practice problems, they help!
Make sure to pay attention, keep up with homework, and ask questions if you don't understand.
Make sure to stay up to date with assignments or you will fall behind.
Break up the practice problems throughout the week so it’s not all combined together at once. Make sure that you make time in the day to take your quiz. They take a lot of time and it’s better to make sure you aren’t busy in the middle of it.
Be engaged it's fun and interesting.
Pay attention, and be open to learning.
Attend class on a daily basis and if possible every class because you learn so much about questions that might appear on a quiz. I would also say to not fall behind because if you keep up with the work, you will be ok. I would also suggest that if you are struggling with anything go to Mrs. Bolstad because she is such an understanding person and is willing to help you with anything. She wants to see you succeed!
Some advice I would give to future students would be to pay attention. Focus on what is being taught in class and the examples we work on, pay attention to the readings and thoroughly read those and take notes because understanding the readings truly helps in answering questions on homework and assessments.
Be ready to learn this is not your ordinary math class it's more interactive.
Attend class, you get points for showing up and it helps you understand what you are doing. Also, participate it makes the class more engaging and beneficial.
Use the textbook on quizzes, I often found the answers right in the book.
Make sure you stay on top of your work so you don't fall behind. Be really engaged in the lessons and you will learn a lot, if you sit back-- you will nor learn. AND don't EVER be afraid to ask questions!
Keep your notes!!!!! And get to know others, they will be able to help you out when we work together.
