Love Life Live Well
Shopify - Fake C2C businesses appear as real stores here. Shopify takes no accountability or responsibility for these transactions hosted by them advertised on Instagram. How me and a single mom hunted the store front owner and his friends and made them accountable and either pay us back or ship what we payed for and how by shopify's own rules found a loophole to pacify their requirement and kept spoofing their own site to keep getting unwitting unsuspecting new customers to fall into the same trap. Meanwhile all over his FB, YT, and IG, he was using that and his student loans to party it up in Ibiza with all his friends.
Venmo - Hackers attempt to hack me at least every quarter and hit me with at least 40-55 attempts at my password. Needless to say I don't use them anymore for that reason. Tighten up, Venmo, or you'll lose more, but I actually know who the vengeful Tongan is who is trying to hack my account. It's very personal. It usually is.
Patelco - https://www.securityweek.com/patelco-credit-union-data-breach-impacts-over-1-million-people/ Now this one is very near and dear to me. I lost access to my funds for an entire month when I needed them the most. I suffered a LOT for it and was homeless for 2 weeks stranded in WA unable to fly back to CA.
I was in the middle of moving my husband to WA and myself into a new unit because of mold, after a serious falling injury, during an open workers' comp case against my former employer, the DPH, HSA, ZSFGH, IT Department. It couldn't have happened at a worse time for me. Many people still despise the Patels for their hotels and history of slumlord-ship here in the Bay. I know it wasn't personally against me, but it sure felt like it. The Patelco Credit Union invests in its local community to make it better and keep the money here in SF unlike the big 10 who caused the bank runs and real estate debacle where my family almost lost their house.
That is why I chose them over the rest and came back to them after being one of the 1st to invest in them back in 1999 when they were at their OLD original location on 2nd Street 2 doors down from where they are now. What attracted me originally was their no ATM fees no matter what bank you had then. when I worked up the street from them on 2nd Street. They were also partnered with the San Mateo Credit Union in San Mateo County back in those days where I'm from. They had a couple of locations there as well.
