Programming for Engineers
Programming for Engineers
ENGN 38 will be at "Ocean" TWO days/week.
ENGN 38 is returning to traditional 4 hr/week model.
To Prepare:
Before each class meeting:
You are expected to watch recorded lectures of the new content
You are expected to read the assigned reading
You are expected to start the programming problems (homework)
At each class meeting:
50% lecture.
50% working Sessions.
You will do lab work. I will come around. I will break up lab work with whole class whiteboarding and/or programming examples.
The better prepared you are for our "Working Sessions", the more rewarding, engaging, and successful our weekly time together will be.

Newer editions are acceptable.
Note, the older 3rd and 4th editions are missing content that we do indeed use!
Some thoughts on Prof Soneji's ENGN 38:
No programming experience required
Instruction will be heavily influenced by real world experiences and examples of applying computational tools to engineering problems
Be prepared to work hard!
Be prepared to seek assistance from other students and or TAs.
