ENVS 91
sustainability Work Experience
This is a Work Experience Class
ENVS (SUST) 91 Students Must Have Identified Work / Volunteer Off Campus Before Registering
IMPORTANT NOTE: it is the students responsibility to find an organization that will take them on as a paid or unpaid intern or volunteer.
This is not a regular lecture or lab based course. This class has no meeting times. Prof Soneji acts as a loose mentor to ensure that your work experience or volunteer effort meets the requirements of ENVS 91 and provide ad hoc guidance and advice as needed.
Key Info:
WORKLOAD Per CCSF Credit Unit students are to complete:
Unpaid Work: 60 hours of work during the semester (~3.5 hours per week)
OR
Paid Work: 75 hours for paid work (~4.5 hours per week).
Some Ideas:
Can be found at Prof Langmo's legacy page for SUST 91.
Past ENVS 91 Opportunities:
NRDC Internship
Ecocenter Internship and Video Introducing EcoCenter and Internship
SCRAP Internship
BIO / GEOG / SUST 31 is now ENVS 31
SUSTainability is now ENVS (Environmental Science and Sustainability)
NOTE: Starting Fall 2021, the Environmental Science Lecture and Lab and all the Sustainability classes changed their prefixes to ENVS (Environmental Science and Sustainability). When looking for these classes in the schedule, be sure to search on the prefix ENVS. The ENVS classes are part of a collaborative of three different departments, but ENVS classes appear in the schedule only under Engineering. That's just an artefact of the way we store our prefix information in our college database.
