A critical analysis of the health status of transgender people, with a focus on the most urgent and prevalent public health issues impacting transgender, nonbinary and gender nonconforming communities.
An overview of the different types of hepatitis caused by viruses (‘viral hepatitis’): how to identify and distinguish each hepatitis virus, how to prevent and treat hepatitis, and which communities are most impacted by hepatitis. In particular, we will focus on hepatitis C, given its importance as a current public health issue.
A course that prepares frontline workers to provide navigation services to those at risk for, and living with, HIV, hepatitis, and/or common co-occurring conditions. This course is informed by a public health and social justice framework, to understand the broader context within which we will practice person-centered navigation services.
