MATH 90S Graphic Organizer - Accessible Version

Each module is organized in the exact same way: an introduction page, six lessons, a discussion, a review game, and a quiz or a test. Make sure you understand the weekly setup and expectations. Below, I explain the structure of a module.

  • There are six lessons in each module. Each lesson introduces the topic through embedded YouTube videos that I created. Each lesson also has a link to videos of worked-out example problems I’ve created. The more videos you watch, the better you’ll understand the material.

  • Each lesson has a corresponding homework assignment in WebAssign. The homework assignments for the first three lessons of the week are due on Friday at 11:59pm (PT). The homework assignments for the last three lessons of the week are due on Sunday at 11:59pm (PT). Students who begin the homework assignments as early as Monday or Tuesday tend to be the most successful!

  • Each week there is a discussion. Students must contribute an initial post by Wednesday at 11:59pm (PT) and at least two responses by Saturday at 11:59pm (PT). This is important!

  • Each week, there is a review game. Sign up via Quizizz and participate by Sunday at 11:59pm (PT) for easy extra credit!

  • Finally, each week there is a quiz or a test in WebAssign. These are timed and due by Sunday at 11:59pm (PT).

WebAssign can be accessed via Canvas. You need to purchase an access code from the bookstore, but access is free for the first two weeks). For more information, view the WebAssign Information page in the Getting Started module. Quizizz can be accessed at www.quizizz.com (for free).

The absolute most important thing is to have good a time management plan and to keep up with the weekly work! Each week there will be six lessons, six homework assignments, one discussion page, and a quiz or a test. If you are able to keep up with these things, you'll likely be successful!
