MATH 90S Graphic Organizer - Accessible Version
Each module is organized in the exact same way: an introduction page, six or seven lessons, and a discussion. Make sure you understand the weekly setup and expectations. Below, I explain the structure of a module.
There are six or seven lessons in each module. Each lesson introduces the topic through embedded YouTube videos that I created. Each lesson also has a link to videos of worked-out example problems I’ve created. The more videos you watch, the better you’ll understand the material.
Each lesson has a corresponding homework assignment in WebAssign. The homework assignments for the first three lessons of the week are due on Friday at 11:59pm (PT). The homework assignments for the last three or four lessons of the week are due on Sunday at 11:59pm (PT). Students who begin the homework assignments as early as Monday or Tuesday tend to be the most successful!
Each week there is a discussion. Students must contribute at least one post by Friday at 11:59pm (PT). This is important!
Tests will occur during the in-person portion of the class. I will distribute a schedule of tests on the first day of class.
WebAssign can be accessed via Canvas. For more information, view the WebAssign Information page in the Getting Started module.
The absolute most important thing is to have good a time management plan and to keep up with the weekly work! Each week there will be six or seven lessons, six or seven homework assignments, and one discussion. If you are able to keep up with these things, you'll likely be successful!
