We've spent the last few lessons focusing on different methods of factoring polynomials. Each lesson focused on a single method; however, we have to be prepared to factor polynomials without being told which method to use. To help you in this, we'll be discussing a general factoring strategy that helps you decide which method to use in which situation.

I would really like you to go through all of the examples in the link below, as each one demonstrates a different situation! We'll be using factoring as a tool when we solve polynomial equations and sketch the graphs of polynomial equations in two variables, so we want to be really confident with our factoring skills.
