Welcome to CCSF Child Development and Family Studies!

Thank you for taking interest in the courses I teach. As your professor, I look forward to diving into the world of child development and education with you!

I want you to leave my classes with a critical analysis of problems currently facing educators, students, and families in the field of education.  I also want you to leave inspired by work being done to enact change! In my courses, we will explore frameworks that can support equity and inclusion at the classroom and policy levels. My hope is that you are inspired to be change-makers as you move through your professional and academic pursuits.

I believe that education should always be engaging and co-constructed; to this end, I look forward to creating a learning space that builds on your interests, goals, experience, and expertise as well as that of the theorists, writers, and practitioners whose work we will explore together.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about current and/or future courses.
