Getting started with WebAssign/ebook

1. Our WebAssign course (ebook and online HW) will become available in Canvas on the official first day of our class (if you try to access the materials earlier, you might see an error message).

2. Sign in to Canvas and enter your Canvas course. 

3. Click on "Modules" in the left-hand navigation of Canvas. The topmost module should contain the ebook. In modules 1-14 you will find WebAssign HW and quizzes.

4. Click on any WebAssign HW link, for example, "HW: Section 2.2." (Make sure your browser allows pop-ups).

5. When you see the Cengage login screen, log in (if you have an account), or click "Create Student Account" (you will need to verify your email and create a password).

6. Next, you should see a "Welcome to Cengage" screen, and you can click continue. 

7. You should now be able to work on course assignments!

Note: This course is a part of the CCSF Bookstore’s Inclusive Access / Follett Access program (Spring 2023). This means that the charge for the materials will automatically be added to your account. This will give you full access to the materials needed in this class. It will NOT give you access to a physical print text. If you wish to OPT OUT of this charge and purchase the physical text + WebAssign access at the bookstore, please head to https://includedcp.follett.com/Optin/1325. You can also find more information regarding how to Opt Out in your school email from the bookstore.

If you have chosen to OPT-OUT of the inclusive access program, you will be prompted to enter an access code or purchase materials for the course (after the drop/add deadline). Please let me know if you need help with this step. Here is a short video that might answer some of your questions (although each student's situation is different).
