Course Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, the student will be able to:
Identify system-specific pathophysiology, etiology, and clinical presentation for adult/geriatric conditions relating to specific systems
2. Identify and utilize appropriate physical examination and evidence-based diagnostic tools appropriate for a given disease state or illness to help formulate differential diagnosis/diagnoses.
3. Discuss ethical and legal considerations relevant to adult/geriatric patients with selected physiologic alterations in case scenarios.
4. Begin to formulate treatment plans for the derived system-specific diagnosis.
5. Evaluate the treatment plan for effectiveness and make appropriate changes when needed
