Select Strings Information

Select Strings is an audition based ensemble for orchestra students interested in learning more advanced skills and techniques as well as the experience of playing in a chamber music setting (small group.) It is important to note that not all students who audition are guaranteed a spot in Select Strings. The ensemble will rehearse Thursday mornings from 8:00-8:40am in the General Music Room and perform at the JK Spring Concert as well as JK’s Curriculum Night. This group is entirely optional and students should only audition if they are interested in playing in the group. Auditioning is a great experience so even if they’re on the fence about it, I would encourage them to try! Select Strings auditions are on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
