Rehearsal & PerformanceProtocols

All production staff will be required to follow the protocols outlined on the General Protocols page. Rehearsals will include addtional regulations as outlined below.

Rehearsing with Physical Distancing

It is not always possible to maintain six feet of distance when rehearing or performing as that does not usually lend itself to good story telling. Our rehearsal spaces will have an adequate amount of space so that actors can spread out while not actively rehearsing.

Rehearsing and Performing with Masks

Actors and other production staff will be required to wear masks at all times except when eating or drinking while on break. Actors should bring their own masks that they are most comfortable using for rehearsals. Magik will provide the masks that will be used for performances as a part of the costume design.

Dressing Rooms

The Dressing room capacity will be strictly limited to ensure physical distancing. Only two actors may have stations in each dressing room. If we have a performance with more than four actors we will create additional space for changing and preparing for the performance. The dressing rooms will be thoroughly sanitized by the stage manager, cleaning crew, or other staff member after each performance/rehearsal. Actors should never share personal care products such as makeup or facewash.

Set/Props/Costumes

All set pieces, props, and rehearsal costume pieces will be sanitized at the end of each rehearsal or performance day by the stage manager. Outer performance costume pieces will be washed every other day (and vodka sprayed daily) and actors will have two sets of inner performance pieces (such as socks, undershirts, etc.) so that they always have fresh pieces.
