I am using this HyperDoc to teach poetry writing through imitation in my 8th grade ELA class. We also use this to explore our heritage and as a way to connect with each other and our families at home. I share my personal poem that I wrote in 8th grade, we listen to the Author, who is from Kentucky as well, read her own poem, then students use Google Drawing to visually represent their poem as well.
