Mr. Lee, a former MMSD student, has been the head of the MSCR- Cherokee program for the past 13 years. As a kid, Mr. Lee spent a lot of time in youth programming and it motivated him to pursue a career in education and youth work. His focus is always to put kids first and to provide a space where they can grow and excel into successful young people.
Fun Fact: Mr. Lee favorite movie is The Lion King.
Ms. Anna is the new assistant director for MSCR. She is a Cherokee Heights alum and is excited to continue learning from and contributing to her community. She loves to draw and sing but her favorite hobby is knitting (she will teach you if you ask ).
Fun Fact: Ms. Anna’s favorite show is Avatar the Last Airbender

I was born and raised in Milwaukee and am proud to be part of the team at Cherokee Heights Middle School. Outside of school, I enjoy attending sporting events, playing in adult sports leagues, golfing, and coaching youth sports.
Growing up, sports played a major role in shaping who I am. They taught me discipline, leadership, accountability, resilience, and teamwork. I learned how to overcome adversity, stay focused under pressure, and support others—on and off the field. Now, I aim to give back by sharing those same lessons with the students and athletes I work with.
Fun Fact: I won a state championship in football during high school.
My name is Amaryssa and I’m currently a senior at UW-Madison hoping to pursue a career in law. In my free time I enjoy spending time with loved ones and being outside.
