Intramural Sports
Many of our sports are coed and some are available to all 3 grades. After-school sports availability may vary from school to school depending on students' interest, availability of coaches and availability of practice space.
All students who play sports with MSCR are required to do Weekly Scholar Grade Reports. To be eligible to play, CHMS student MUST turn grade reports in each Tuesday of the season and have a "C" or better in all classes.
Students will able to trying out for sport during the week of September 8th, once the teams are formed, students will get the practice schedule.
September-October

Cross Country is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th students. Cross Country is a long-distance running sport that takes place on natural terrain, such as fields, parks, and grasslands. It can be run as an individual or as part of a team, and is often practiced in the fall and winter.

Soccer is open to 7th & 8th grade students. Soccer is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players on a rectangular field, or pitch, with the goal of scoring more goals than the other team.

Volleyball is open to 7th & 8th grade students. Volleyball is a team sport where two teams of six players use their hands to hit a ball back and forth over a net, trying to land it in the other team's court.
November-December
Girls Basketball is open to 7th and 8th grade students. Girls Basketball is a team sport where two teams, usually with five players each, compete on a rectangular court to score points by shooting a basketball through a hoop.
WINTER SPORTS
January-March
Boys Basketball is open to 7th and 8th grade students. Basketball is a game played between two teams of five players each on a rectangular court to score points by shooting a basketball through a hoop.
SPRING SPORTS
April-May
Flag Football is open to 7th and 8th grade students. 7 on 7 Flag Football is a version of flag football that involves two teams of seven players each. The game focuses on passing and running routes, and the number of players in each position depends on the coach's strategy and whether contact is allowed.
