"I’ve been playing Super Smash Bros for a little over a year now! What inspires me to improve is my love of the game and for my team! My team pushes me to constantly do better and I appreciate it! I absolutely love being a part of MACU Esports, it has became my second family! I love my team so much and couldn’t ask to be a part of a better team! I am so excited to be the captain this year and have really appreciated everything my team has done for me!! MACU Esports is a family and I absolutely love it!"
Paizlee Andres-Walley
Paizlee has been a part of the Super Smash Bros. team since August 2021. To continue improving, she enjoys playing the game outside of practice with friends, and she actively tried to get faster, especially with her combos. She said, "Something I appreciate in a teammate is someone who hypes you up and won’t give up on you." Her advice for players looking who are considering trying out for a collegiate program is, "Do it! Don’t listen to what others have to say! You will do great! It’s so so worth it in the long run. Be patient with yourself."
Juliet Kaonohi
What brought you to MACU?
What brought me to MACU was the Christian environment, and I heard that it had a great psychology program.

The most memorable experiences is all the laughter and jokes.
What drives you to get better?
My friends and family.
What is something you have enjoyed about being in MACU Esports?
The people; they are really helpful and supportive.
Juliet Kaonohi
I’ve been play Smash since I was about 7, starting with Smash Bros. Brawl. I’m inspired to improve because I want to be confident when I compete; I want to know what I am and what my opponent are going to do before it even happens. What I enjoy about MACU Esports is that I’m living my dream of competing in a medium I enjoy. Growing up, I would see EVO tournaments and want to be there competing. Shout out to VANCE AFB Teen Center for catering to my competitive spirit.
