Daniel J. Peaslee
Daniel Peaslee is in his sixth year as the MACU Esports Director & Head Coach for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Overseeing MACU's League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros., and Valorant teams, Peaslee has helped guide the program to multiple championships over the past several years. As of Spring 2025, the Evangels have won the following championships:

Peaslee has been on staff at Mid-America Christian University since 2016, serving as the Assistant Director of Student Success since March of 2018 as well as a Writing Consultant from January 2016 to March 2018.
After graduating with his Bachelor's in English and Christian Ministries from Mid-America Christian University in May 2010, Peaslee served as a Copy Editor for Tate Publishing from 2011-2012.
An avid gamer since 1995, Peaslee has participated in and won a few local Super Smash Bros. Tournaments in the Oklahoma City area.
The son of a Church of God pastor and a volleyball and basketball coach of 35+ years, Peaslee grew up in Illinois and attended high school in North Dakota and was a basketball, soccer, and track & field athlete, taking home a regional championship in the 800m run in Spring 2006 as well as first place medals in competition in the 4 x 800m, high jump, and 800m during the Spring 2006 season.
