SOCIAL STUDIES

Much of our curriculum is out of a textbook, but we complete some projects along the way.  My favorite part of Social Studies is strengthening mapping skills.  The students will complete a Daily Geography worksheet with eight questions.   They will use maps to answer the questions.  It will almost always be completed at home, but if by chance it has to be finished at home, below is a link to some useful maps.

After we complete a chapter in our textbook, we review as a class before a chapter assessment.  Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that allows students to review any area of learning.  The students absolutely love it!!  Below are the review games for you to review at home as well.  Just click on the link.

After we complete a chapter in our textbook that covers a region in the United States, we will be tested on the states within the regions.  Below are the forms in which we test.  Your child will be given a study guide at the beginning of the chapter so that he/she can study during the weeks we spend on the chapter.  Please take some time to review, a little bit each day is most efficient.
