The official times for haul-in are the following:
Beef - 5-7 am - back of Henry Jansen barn
Swine - 6-8 am - back of Henry Jansen barn
Sheep/Goats - 6-8 am - front of Henry Jansen barn
Rabbit weigh in will be after hogs are completed. Estimate is 11:30am. Please check in before that though.
If you have multiple species coming in the trailer...say beef and sheep or beef and swine, please wait until the overlap time of 6 am to line up and come on the grounds.
Please DO NOT COME EARLIER THAN YOUR TIME SLOT as that will clog up beef getting onto the fairgrounds between 5-7 am. You are welcome to wait in the top of Kiwanis parking lot or somewhere in Lynden. There are plenty of places to wait with a truck and trailer.
All vehicles will ENTER ALONG KOK RD. FROM THE EAST (turn on 17th street) and come in through Gate 5. This was decided for the right hand turn into the gate area, plus if the line gets WAY TOO LONG then they can overflow vehicles at the top section of Kiwanis parking. YOU MAY NOT ENTER GATE 5 COMING FROM THE WEST. You will not be allowed to make a left hand turn from Kok Rd.
All vehicles will EXIT AT GATE 3 and may ONLY TAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN ONTO FRONT STREET. Helps make less of a back up waiting to get out of the gate.
Pigs will be unloaded into the pens put up in the Southwest corner behind the swine area. Please do not back up to the other corner of the barn as this will be a ONE WAY street with everyone going out Gate 3.
DO NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAYS OR MAIN ROADS/SIDE STREETS for the convenience of people that live in Lynden.
If you are cutting it close to the end of haul-in time and other vehicles are in front of you, please don't worry just be sure to be in line to get onto the fairgrounds.
Be sure to pack your patience everyone and let's work together to make this an organized chaotic haul-in on Tuesday morning.
