If you'd like to run a trip this academic year or next, below are the program proposal forms and deadlines for submission. I'll be hosting faculty information sessions in September for those who want to learn about the process. Please note that the Global Education Office has significant scholarship funds to disperse this year, mostly to students with financial need and those on service learning trips.
Deadlines for faculty-led credit bearing study abroad proposals for 2024-2025 academic year. You can submit a proposal before these deadlines. No need to wait!
Spring Break '25 deadline September 1, 2024
Summer Term '25 deadline October 1, 2024
Deadlines for faculty-led credit bearing study abroad proposals for 2025-2026 academic year. Please note that the deadline for a Winter Term '26 program is September 30, 2024. [To my knowledge there haven't been credit bearing programs during spring break. If I'm mistaken please let me know.]
Winter Term '26 deadline is September 30, 2024
Summer Term '26 deadline is February 1, 2025
Here are the deadlines for Service Learning trip proposals. I recognize these deadlines are new for service learning and I will be as flexible as possible with these proposals. If you already have a trip planned for 2025 (spring break or summer), please complete the form according to these deadlines or earlier, if you wish.
Spring break '25 deadline is September 15, 2024
Summer '25 deadline is December 15, 2024
Fall '26 deadline is April 15, 2025
Here are the links for program proposals.
Existing and New Program Proposal form
Existing Programs are those that have run in the past three years. That means three years from the term that you propose to run the program again. If it's been more than three years, it would be considered a New Program. I compared the Existing Programs form with the New Programs form and they were nearly identical. Rather than have two forms, I've combined them and created a checkbox so you can select the program as new or existing.
This is for non-credit bearing service learning programs.
Once your program is approved and ready to receive student applications, I'll add your program to the dropdown list on the student application form and create a webpage for your program.
Study abroad advances our mission to inspire independent thinkers, who become trustworthy, effective leaders that shape caring communities by giving them a new perspective and helping them see the world through other cultures. There are many other benefits to studying abroad. Thank you for taking the time to share your passion for travel, culture and adventure with our students.
