Grab these soldering items: Iron - Clamp - Solder roll
Parts are always inserted from the top of the board, and soldered from the bottom. Good soldering will be the difference between your circuit working on a first or second try and potentially hours of troubleshooting.
Solder your power jack, switch, led and 1K resistor - LED direction matters
Plug in and test your circuit. Does it light up? This is the only plug in test you can do until you test your audio much later in the circuit.
The following steps are one recommendation, but no strict order must be followed.
Solder your amplifier PCB receptacle strips - Make absolutely sure all legs go through and are soldered well.
Solder your 20K resistors - direction does not matter
Solder your inductors - direction does not matter
Solder your capacitors - electrolytic (red in this example) must be in correct direction
2.2uf = blue
.47uf = squarish yellow
.1uf = roundish yellow (104 on face)
Solder your audio jack - you will not be using the one on your breadboard. Make absolutely sure all legs go through and are soldered well.
Solder your voltage regulator and potentiometer - extend wires if your design calls for it.
Solder screw terminals for your speaker wires - openings face the edge of the board.
Strip and Solder wires to your speakers
Attach speakers to screw terminals - as little wire should be exposed as possible. Do not let these two wires touch at all.
Steps:
Look inside the opening while turning the screw. You'll see a metal opening that descends from the tops.
Once that opening is completely open, insert your wire.
Screw the terminal in the opposite direction to cinch the wire to the top of the terminal.
Plug in your integrated circuit - pins 1 and 44 face top edge of circuit board. Do not reverse.
Test your circuit without bluetooth
Solder your bluetooth parts (isolator, 2 capacitors, terminal block)
Plug Bluetooth module to green terminal block and add audio cable.
Optional: Add external power jack - if you want to be able to charge your battery without opening the enclosure, you can add this component.
