Nightly reading is the homework focus in second grade. It is also a time of brief review that the students should be able to complete independently. Reading 15 minutes nightly will be assigned Monday - Thursday all year. Math review will be sent home no more than 2x a week. Students will write assignments and other information in their reminder binders.

As parents, your job is to look over the homework when your children are finished. Please have them correct any errors and sign the reminder binder to acknowledge nightly reading has taken place. Also, this is a great time to familiarize yourselves with the concepts currently being taught.

Our goal is that the homework assigned will leave plenty of time for family, friends, and other important activities.
