Dear Parents,

I am so lucky to have started my teaching career here at Willow Elementary over 20 years ago. I have experience teaching first, second, and third grade, and I have a Masters Degree in Education.

We believe children need a safe and supportive environment in which to learn, so we work a great deal on community building and collaborative learning activities. We integrate language arts, math, and writing into Science & Social Studies. Our class will focus on showing respect for everyone at all times and taking personal responsibility for our actions, both academically and socially. Your support at home in emphasizing these values is greatly appreciated. Your child will be engaged and excited as they learn about everything from geography to fractions, and they enjoy fantastic projects to enrich their learning as well.

I am so excited and lucky to be working with Mrs. DeBolt. We love to collaborate and are always looking for ways to make the year the best that it can be. Our teaching styles are very similar, we communicate constantly about students and instruction, and we both value having an active, safe, engaging learning environment to meet the individual needs of our students.

On a personal note, I have 3 amazing kids (Jonathan, Arielle, & Natalie), 3 precious grandkids (Mia, Joel, Eliana, and one more on the way), my wonderful husband Ilan, and a loyal fetch-loving dog named Cody. :) Life is busy and fun and I am grateful for all of it!
