Course description

French 2 is designed to help the student who has studied French 1 to further develop their appreciation for the French language and culture. Students are able to expand on their interpersonal skills through the use of the language laboratory, group/partner work, and other communicative activities. By examining authentic French texts and other materials, students can develop their interpretive skills. Presentational skills are facilitated through compositions, written reports, and oral presentations. By the end of the course, students will be able to understand elementary spoken French, use vocabulary for everyday use, speak with comprehensible pronunciation, read and write simple French paragraphs, and discuss/develop an appreciation for Francophone culture
