In Phase 2 of our Google Workspace project, we have changed our primary communication platform from Microsoft Office to Google Workspace, so that we have a single global communication platform.
We would love your feedback on the migration from Outlook to Google Workspace
This week, we successfully migrated all of S&A and Support Managers in North America from Outlook Mail / Calendar to Google. This was an immense undertaking, and I want to express my gratitude for your involvement.
Thank you for the time and energy you put into training, sharing feedback, piloting the rollout, and guiding your coworkers through this journey. I truly appreciate your commitment and willingness to jump in. This transition would not have been as smooth and successful as it was without your contributions.
With your support, we now share a common communication and collaboration platform with Lushies around the globe.
Thank you for being trailblazers and leaders of change.
Sincerely,
Sam Diab, Head of Technology
As of Aug 15, all email and calendaring should now happen in Google.
No mail should be sent from Outlook and no new meetings should be scheduled in Outlook.
Teams is not going anywhere as many staff still rely on Teams.
There is no need to retroactively update your pre-existing meetings as Google Meet meetings. You can continue to join these meetings as you were before. However, Google Calendar should be used to schedule new meetings and we advise you to use Google Meet’s video conferencing capabilities as they are better integrated with Google Workspace.
If you must book a meeting in Google Calendar using Teams’ video conferencing capabilities, here are the steps to do so:
Get the Teams add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace.
Click Install.
Click Continue.
If applicable, select the Google profile you want to add the Teams add-on to.
Click Allow.
Click Done.
When scheduling a new meeting in Google Calendar, expand the drop-down menu and select the Microsoft Teams Meeting add-on:
