Second Grade 2021-2022

Collaborative research-the kiddos and I began our last PBL of year discussing what a citizen is. We then discussed the qualities and characteristics of a "model citizen". They decided that a model citizen is someone that changes their community with action that makes their lives and those around them better. Jane Goodall, Jose Hernandez, Mia Hamm, Frida Kahlo, Martin Luther King Jr. were among the group of model citizens the kiddos chose to research. They research first in groups and then began the task of gaining information of how their chosen citizen made a positive change...these kiddos are amazing researchers!
