Lincoln vs St. Mary's

Last race of the XC season and Lincoln Crushed it! Lincoln Varsity Boys ended the season Undefeated and finished 18/39 against St. Mary’s. Varsity Girls led the race with Skyler and Emma finishing 1st and 2nd, just didn’t have enough girls to complete a full team. JV boys finished 1st - 4th and scored 21/38 over St. Mary’s.  JV Girls dominated with Molly and Emma in 1st and 2nd. Great way to end the season!!!

Arcadia Invite!

Noah Pagaran now 3rd place on Lincoln's All-Time Leaderboard! Noah raced the 800m at the prestigious Arcadia Invite in Southern CA against some of the best competition in the State. He was seeded 16th going into the race, but finished 6th with a PR of 1:56.52. That’s the 2nd fastest time EVER run by a Lincoln athlete! Be sure to watch the video. Way to go Noah!

Cougar Invite!

The Cougar Invite was loaded with fast runners that were giving it their all. Unfortunately, it was one of the windiest days we’ve competed in, which made earning those PR’s MUCH harder. That being said, congratulations to Daniel Gonzales for breaking the 5:00 barrier in the 1600 for the first time and winning his heat. Gio Jamosmos was also able to shave some time off of his 800 with a new PR of 2:05.53. Congrats to Molly Grupe as well for being the only freshman in the 400m and defeating the upperclassman to win her heat. Great job to all our Lincoln athletes that braved the wind out there and gave it their best!

Lincoln vs West!

Another strong performance by Lincoln! West had a small squad, but the runners they did have were pretty strong. Once again, our athletes rose to the challenge and outperformed our competition.  In the process, they set 16 new personal records from just 2 weeks ago on the same course. These were well deserved victories though. Our team works hard and knows how to dig deep when the pressure is on!  Also, a huge thank you to all of our parents who came out to cheer on our team today. Your support and encouragement provides a great deal of motivation for our kids to be the best they can be.  Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out the full results and photos.

Lincoln vs Tokay!

Lincoln looked strong at Lodi Lake today! Tokay has a great program and offered solid competition for us, which really tested our ability.  Although, I was very impressed with how much grit our team has because we definitely rose to the challenge! Meanwhile, this season we aren’t technically supposed to be keeping track of scores, but here’s how it played out. JV girls- Lincoln 24, Tokay 32 (remember, lowest score wins!).  The JV boys race was extremely close! - Lincoln 28, Tokay 28. In this case, the tie breaker is the 6th place runner. Since Logan Nuener (our 6th place runner) beat Tokay’s  5th runner, Lincoln got the WIN! Great job Logan! Varsity Boys: Lincoln- 16, Tokay 45. The boys ran a smart race and let Tokay go out front in the beginning, then reeled him in for a solid victory.  Congratulations to Noah Pagaran for taking 1st overall and to Owen Deguzman for earning a place on the Top 7! As for the varsity girls, we currently don’t have enough to make a complete squad, but that didn’t stop Skyler, Emma and Sydney from giving it their best and beating some of Tokay’s Top 7 guys in the combined 5k race.  Way to go ladies!

Lincoln vs Tracy!

Finally! After months of training and hard work, our XC season officially kicked off. We were able to host the event on our Lincoln HS campus for the first time. The course was a little challenging with numerous turns and fields of grass to slow it down. That didn’t stop our athletes from pushing the pace and dominating the race. JV Girls had 9 athletes cross the finish before Tracy had their first! Congratulations to Molly Grupe, Cash Lucero, Skyler Tatum and Ethan Hart for winning each event. Check out the full results and photos!
