Lowell 2019

Great Performance at the Lowell Invite!

After combining results from heat 1 and 2 of the Freshman boy’s race, Lincoln came in 3rd out of 45 schools!!! Daniel Gonzales placed 6th out of 238 boys. Both Daniel and Jansen Gillig brought home medals for finishing in the top 20. Lincoln was able to put together a great finish despite Jansen being taken out by a tree and Biraj Nainabasti getting tripped, falling to the ground and having to work his way back up! Thomas Iten, Andrew Rigdon, Darius Tuy and John Heck round off the rest of the Freshman Top 7. Well done boys! Other notable performances include Emma Kaufman and Hannah Gains in the frosh/soph girls race for producing times that rank them among some of the fastest freshman girls Lincoln has ever had! Josh Bishop brought home a medal in the sophomore boys race. Gio Jamosmos placed 3rd overall in the JV boys race, making him a contender for a Top 7 spot on the varsity team next week. Speaking of the varsity boys, last year our team placed 10th and this year we were able to move up to the 5th place position. Noah Pagaran (only a sophomore) was our 1st varsity finisher in 34th place out of 219 kids. He had a lightning fast time of 15:17. Both varsity teams (guys and girls) did an amazing job of running as a pack and pushing each other to the finish line. Although, the varsity girls definitely made the biggest improvement from the previous year. Last year’s team placed 23rd, while this year they finished in 10th place overall! This was the best our varsity girls have placed at Lowell since 2012. Skyler Tatum (sophomore) lead the way by placing 27th out of 165 girls and earned a medal as well. Great job to all!
