Welcome to 7th Grade ELA! In this course, students will build essential reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills through a variety of engaging texts—including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, and novels.
Throughout the year, students will read both short texts and full-length novels, participate in discussions, and complete projects that help them grow as confident, thoughtful communicators.

The grading scale comprises of the following categories and weightings:

Participation 10
Please make the necessary effort to submit all work on time. This practice will prevent you from losing 10% daily for late submissions.

Students will need to learn the words and their definitions in readiness for testing on the following week. Notifications will be given on the web page for testing dates.
