Grade 7 Pre-Algebra

Course Overview

The objective of Pre Algebra is to prepare students for the study of algebra in high school. Students will be guided through among other things integers, algebra formulas, absolute values, scientific notations, whole numbers, negative numbers, less common multiples, natural numbers, one-step equations, inequalities and equations, graphs and functions, percent, probabilities. We also present an introduction to geometry and right triangles. Pre Algebra can be useful in many ways. It moves us beyond basic math and prepares us for statistics and calculus. It is useful for many jobs some of which a student may enter as a second career. Algebra is useful around the house and in analyzing information in the news.

Grade 7 Textbook
