We walk together to take care of our bodies, our environment, and our neighborhood by promoting fitness, pedestrian and cyclist safety, and reducing traffic. On Wednesday, October 8th, 2025, we learned more about safety, shared our favorite benefits of walking & rolling to school, and earned prizes by demonstrating our safety knowledge. Although the weather did not cooperate for a walk together, we shared valuable knowledge to keep us safe as we walk, ride, and roll safely each day. We will continue to expand our knowledge about the benefits of exercise, and practice pedestrian and cyclist safety throughout the year in a variety of fun ways.
Special thanks to the Greater Mercer TMA Safe Routes to School program for providing excellent resources and learning opportunities, and continuing to support our Slackwood community again this year.
It was such a pleasure to meet so many of our Slackwood families!
