Attention 10th and 11th graders: If you are a responsible person who is a good listener and is respected by your peers, we hope you will apply to become a peer mediator.
What do mediators do? Mediators help other students or students and adults talk out and resolve interpersonal conflicts. Student mediators do not take sides or make decisions for their peers; instead they help them create their own resolutions to conflicts.
How are mediators chosen? The first step is to fill out this applications We would like to train everyone who volunteers but as there will be more applications than training spaces, we will be asking for recommendations from faculty, staff, counselors, and administrators in order to create a representative team of peer mediators.
