2023 Theme: Celebrating Identity and Inclusion
Feedback was positive for November's Diversity Workshop, Part 1
Comments from ninth grade partipants:
"I thought that the student leaders did a really good job creating an environment where everyone was comfortable and free to say what they wanted, without being judged by their peers"
"I think it's important for kids our age, as well as people of all ages, to learn how historically-weighted the word is and to recognize where and to whom it is inappropriate to use it. covering this topic was something I was glad to see because i'm sure it made kids aware of things they may not have known before."
"It was interesting and fun to learn about the people and their backgrounds that I did not know about but now I do!"
