Yes. The school will be reverting back to pre-covid procedures: when a student's after school plans are different than normal and involve the need to ride a school bus, parents may request that their child be issued a bus pass. Requests for bus passes must be received by the elementary school office by 2:00pm. Students will not be issued a bus pass unless the office is contacted by the student's parent or guardian.

How will the school district improve cleaning/disinfecting of vehicles and busses?

Bus drivers will clean and disinfect the inside of busses as needed. Bus drivers will be using electrostatic sprayers to assist in disinfection procedures. Depending on the situation we will be using Oxivir or Alpha in the sprayers. Oxivir disinfectant, used to clean all health sensitive areas, has the ability to kill germs and bacteria when remaining wet on the surface for 1 minute. We also use Alpha disinfectant, which has the ability to kill germs and bacteria when remaining wet on the surface for 6 minutes. The EPA registration number for Oxivir is 7062774. The EPA registration number for Alpha is 7062762. The spray bottle method eliminates any possibility of cross contamination and assures that the focus is on cleaning for health. The school district has purchased several electrostatic disinfectant sprayers. View electrostatic sprayer video to learn more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOhXaBHT3Ho
