Give Back Day Grant:
Each year, all the students at Hollywood participate in Give Back Day. We know that small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world and this is our chance to do just that. We have been doing Give Back Day at Hollywood since 2015. Each year the event has grown and our kindness has reached far beyond our school. This year we will be able to do even more thanks to a $2500 grant that Mrs. Hughes won! She applied for and received the Education Excellence Award from the SET SEG Foundation and the Michigan Association of School Boards. We have big plans for that money! We want to create care packages for our local first responders and nursing home residents. We will donate “Birthday Boxes” to local food pantries. Our BIG project this year is to build and install Little Free Libraries throughout the community! Our Give Back Day will be held on May 3rd. Give Back Day: Begin with the End in Mind: Supply Drive
With our grant, Give Back Day is going to be bigger and better than ever! Even though it is not scheduled until May 3, it will be here before we know it so we are starting preparations now! Please scan the QR code to see ways to participate by donating supplies if you are able.

When we come back from break, Tuesday, April 9th is a half day for ALL students! Friday, May 10 is a half day for Elementary students ONLY!
Eclipse Permission Slip
Permission slips went home this week for the Solar Eclipse Viewing when we get back from break on Monday, April 8th. We are giving students the opportunity to safely view the eclipse with special certified glasses. Teachers will review safety expectations and procedures prior to the event, but please also review the importance of wearing our safety glasses when viewing an eclipse. Permission slip here
