February 8 is a half day for elementary only. Dismissal begins at 11:45. Friday the 9th is a full day.
Order Your 23-24 Yearbook!
Yearbooks are $15 and are available to order until March 28, 2024 (right when we leave for Spring Break!)

Background Checks:
As a reminder, as we move into spring and more opportunities open up for field trips and volunteering, the district requires a cleared background check be on file for every school year. If you still need to fill out a form for the 23-24 school year, please click here. If you are unsure if you have one on file, please reach out to Mrs. Murdoch at ammurdoch@lpslancer.net

Note about Book Fair:
Once Wednesday and Friday when the book fair is taking place before school starts, if you finish shopping before the first bell rings (8:55 on Wednesday and 8:25 on Friday) please plan on staying to supervise your kiddos. They are not able to go to class until the first bell rings! Thank you for your cooperation and partnership!
February is Kindness Month!
A team of students has put together a great month of activities for February Kindness Month! Here are a few days to take note of:
February 5: Show unity and wear your Hollywood Fun Run shirt
February 8: Do something kind for your teacher
February 9: Write letters to the local police department
February 12: Wear Green! It's the universal color for kindness
February 15: Do something kind for a parapro
February 16: Write letters to the local fire department
February 21: Read with your buddy class
February 22: Do something kind for the lunch crew
February 26: Be kind to yourself and wear school appropriate pjs!
February 29: Write letters to a nursing home
Other ways to show kindness include writing a Post-It Note of kindness for someone's desk or locker. We are excited for the month of February to show kindness to ourselves, the adults in the building, our friends, and the community!
Spring Picture Day
Spring Picture Day will be Wednesday, March 27th. Order information will be sent home soon. Only students who have orders in ahead of time will be photographed so be on the lookout for that order code!

Thank you parents for being so diligent about calling in your student’s absences; it helps the mornings run so much smoother when parents call in ahead of time! When leaving a voicemail for an absence, please be sure to include the reason(s) for the absence; an absence without a reason could result in an unexcused absence. If you call and no one answers please feel free to leave a voicemail. Messages are checked frequently throughout the day and if no one answers during school hours, it’s typically because a student is being helped.
