Course Description:  Painting I is an advanced level visual art course, designed to introduce students to color theory and acrylic painting techniques. Students will apply skills developed from art foundations and drawing to create original works of art using acrylic paint on canvas. We will explore the acrylic paint media, as well as works of other artists (students and famous works) to better understand the purpose of art and painting.
