I have a big family with my awesome husband. We have my two biological kids and my husband's kids- are mine as well!
Our oldest, Megan, 27, just had our first grandbaby in February, and we are so excited!
Peter, 26, works for a cellar company and installs and maintains cell towers. He sends us pictures from crazy high places!
Brigitta, 24, works as a PE teacher for SkyView Academy in Highlands Ranch. She is doing her 2nd year now and loves what she does.
Dakota, 18, graduated from Littleton High School after having open heart surgery in May. She was able to walk to get her diploma on her own! She is a CNA and is looking for work so she can help others.
Gray, 17, is homeschooled and has started working as a nanny. The first few days/weeks were hard! I knew they would be :) We watch scary movies together and she makes me laugh harder than anyone. She is planning on going to college to be a therapist.
We have a lot of pets-dogs and cats (too many cats some say).
We have a full-time dog named Patches who is 4. He is an Australian Sheppard/Border Collie who should be so smart, but he isn't. We love him anyway!
Our second dog is part-time. My friend's life changed and she needed help with her dog, so now we have Teddy, 2, who is a golden doodle. Patches and Teddy love to play and they wear each other out! It's fun to watch them play.
We have 3 cats. Not all of them are my fault! One cat was left when Megan moved out, then we had 3, anyway.
Noodles is our oldest cat, 8, and is a Maine Coon mix. She is huge and is the loudest purrer I have ever heard, but when she meows, it is silent. It's a Maine Coon thing.
Midnight is just slightly younger than Noodles and is the smallest cat. He is black with a white heart of his chest and partial socks on both front paws. He thinks he is the top dog!
The youngest (who was left) is Milo. He is a full black, long haired long cat. He can jump up to the ceiling and is incredibly shy. He is also the softest of all the pets.
I knew I was going to be a teacher when I was in middle school. Middle school can be tough and it was really hard on me. The choir room, however, was a place where I could do what I loved and that I knew I belonged. I want my students to have that same feeling!
I read a lot of books and love finding out what the kids are reading and talking to them about books.
This is my 26th year at Goddard. I received my bachelor's from Adam's State University in Music Education with vocal emphasis. I got my Master's from CSU in Kodaly Education, which is a specific methodology for teaching music.
I am a lifelong learner. I take classes anytime I see something that I think will help me teach, take care of myself or balance my life and work.
