About Me

A Little About Me….

I started my first teaching job in a very small rural town in Southern Illinois with my shiny new "Home Economics" degree from Montana State University. After a few years and a bit of a winding career path, I was led back to Colorado and my family. Having been raised in the life of a corporate gypsy, I was ready to settle in one place. I stayed home from public education to raise my family for a number of years returning to teaching in 2002.

I taught Family and Consumer Sciences at Ponderosa High School and Sagewood Middle School in DCSD prior to moving to Highlands Ranch High School where my children were attending high school. Along the way, I earned my Master of Ed in Technology degree. I continued to teach FCS introducing Teacher Cadet to HRHS until I found myself fortunate enough to move to Littleton Public Schools in 2012. I've been teaching concurrent enrollment Teacher Cadet and Early Childhood Education for our district CTE consortium at Ames and ACC until this year. I'm so excited to be moving to the fabulous new EPIC campus!

Beyond my teaching life, I treasure time with family (my husband, 2 adult daughters, 1 son-in-law, 1 future SIL this September AND our joy beyond words, 4-year-old grandson. We're often traveling together or traveling to see each other. I love Saturday morning chats with girlfriends, daughters and sister, dinner dates with friends, wetting a line to catch that elusive rainbow trout, conquering the never-ending house projects I dream up, loud music on road trips, good black coffee and pecan pie.

Enough about me! I want to know about you. Come visit me in Rm 243 - email to schedule a time to meet and I'll buy you a cup of coffee in our new EPIC Coffee Shop.
