Sculpture

Students choose the media they want to use to create and choose the subject matter for their work. Media in the Sculpture Center include: found objects, blocks, modelling clay, Straws and Connectors, clay, plaster, Plaster Gauze, wire, papier-mache, boxes, bottles, cups, CD's, pipe cleaners, paper plates/bowls/cups, glue sticks and lots of miscellaneous fun stuff to create with!

Mini-lessons that students learn about and are encouraged to try are:  Additive  and Subtractive Sculpture, Relief Sculpture, In-the-Round Sculpture using the media of their choice. Students can work independently or collaboratively with others to create a Sculpture. We photograph many Sculptures, as some are temporary.

Students write about the thinking behind their Learning through Artist Statements and Reflections.
